We were challenged by the health authority to construct 115 clinics and mini-clinics in all 10 Zambian provinces. By effectively deploying skilled teams willing to work in some of the most remote and logistically-challenging areas - together with creative supply-chain management - we met every objective set to the client's full satisfaction.
This Chinsali project required expedited activation with minimum disruption to ongoing service delivery by the government staff. The families of the staff appreciated being handed over a beautiful, safe and well-constructed home to enjoy their lives in.
Mapico partnered with local agricultural project owners to clear 8000 hectares of densely-foliated land. This phase was followed by soil preparation and crop-ready activation to enable the farming teams to deploy their skills and meet their objective of "from forest to food" within a single calendar year.
Mapico faced hilly topography, often-impassable roads and supply-chain logistical pressures in constructing 4000 low-cost houses in Empangeni, Kwangbanami, Dezo & Toro ‘y Afrika for the Provincial Governments of Kwazulu-Natal and the then-named Orange Free State.
Healing, restoration, and a fresh start: some children need this deeper level of care. For this reason, Mapico was contracted to create the Tree of Life Children’s Village – a transitional full-time care living facility for children who have faced extreme circumstances. Children admitted into the Tree of Life may suffer from significant medical conditions and their guardians are unable to provide necessary care or their home situation is unsuitable for the child to live. Spanning over 130-acres, the Tree of Life has a neighborhood of homes, a school, the Hill Wellness Center, playgrounds, a working farm and so much more
Our team delivered on the opportunity to construct a multi-unit warehouse complex in Leopard's Hill, Lusaka in Zambia. The quality and workmanship displayed in this successful light industrial activation led to several repeat engagements with the same client in other parts of the city.
